This head unit is excellent for the price. Simple to install and had all the functions needed. I use an installed backup camera which comes on as soon as the vehicle is placed into reverse. The bluetooth sounds great through the speakers and listeners hear me perfect. DVD player is supurb and crystal clear. Best head unit I have ever purchased for the price. The only downfall is there is no dimmer so at night its a little bright.

It's been about one week in and so far so good. I'm typically more of a high-end audio fanatic ranging from vintage mosfet amps, multiple woofers, custom fabricated dash panels with monitors, etc., but opted for a economic alternative for the family ride. Installation was fairly straight forward; I opted to fabricate my own mounting plate for a bit more shallow recess in the dash panel. Running the wire for the bluetooth mic was no problem and had plenty of length from the center console to the A-pillar. Everything else fit snug and the wiring diagram was right on key (as most are). No motorized parts on this one aside from the disc loader so no single-din monitor to be stuck out when the gears wear out.

Performance of the unit is relatively adequate for a $200 unit. Volume really comes alive around 75% max and the output is surprisingly strong and clean. The EQ control is what it is, a three band passive with sub control. I do LOATHE the fade/balance control; I actually thought it was cool at first until I had to try to get everything balanced again...

Peripherals are okay and there is nothing special about the background graphics. The touchscreen is adequately sensitive for my taste and the unit does have decent features. Bluetooth is easy to pair and connect devices and does connect quickly at unit boot-up; audio streaming from my phone is also nice although clarity is semi-poor for that action - the hands-free is much clearer than the audio streaming.

DVD playback is very nice and screen is clear and vibrant. I have yet to find a digital video format that will play through the usb port. This unit does have one video output that can be used to provide signal to other monitors. Bypassing the parking-brake is easily accomplished.

Radio is actually nice to navigate. Can't give you a good indication of the reception power because the antenna has been removed for aesthetic purposes. Front and rear USB's are nice and the SD card makes for a lot of media storage without having a cumbersome thumb drive or mp3 player to nav around. I am rather excited to get the accessory navigation unit as well.

So all in all this isn't a bad unit for the $ and for what I have always revered as being a lesser brand. Definitely do not expect more than what the description details. Quite frankly I didn't want to pay $500+ for something that may or may not last longer than 2 years at the hands of children. I hope this brand proves me wrong but until that day comes, I'm still leery.
